Ashiatsu Therapeutic Massage combines techniques of deep tissue, trigger point therapy, shiatsu and myofascial release to undo tension and stress in the body. “Ashi” means foot and “atsu” means pressure. The therapist’s well-trained feet deliver just the right amount of pressure and compression as well as long relaxing strokes to release tightness and soreness throughout the body. It is a great choice if you have specific issues to address such as, sciatica, lower back pain, tension between the shoulder blades or upper back. By the use of overhead parallel bars, the therapist can adjust and regulate the pressure to accommodate whatever condition is presented.

LaSTONE

LaStone is the original hot/cold stone massage and is widely considered the Cadillac of hot stone massage.
LaStone therapy, also known as hot and cold stone therapy, is a type of massage that uses smooth, heated and cooled stones to relieve stiffness and soreness to joints and muscles. The warm stones encourage the flow of blood and lymph circulation throughout the body and provide soothing and healing heat for deep tissue work. Cold stones are applied to aid with inflammation, to encourage blood to move away from a swollen area. Benefits of alternating hold and cold stones during a LaStone session have been known to encourage the circulatory system and the self-healing process.
During a 90-minute LaStone session warm stones are placed in varying positions along a client’s body including the seven chakras on the front of the body, thus balancing the energetic field. Stones of all shapes and sizes are used and heated to varying temperatures, eliciting physical healing, mental relaxation and deeper connection to earth energy. The alternating heat and cold of this thermotherapy treatment encourages body-mind harmony and healing. It is an extremely nurturing and deeply relaxing treatment, often inducing a dreamlike experience not often felt in any other massage session.
